A quick explanation

Reading a blog from VP (great gardening based blog) I found that blogger has provided the opportunity for you to add more pages.  This seemed a great idea to me as it allows you to provide an about page to say a little about yourself for people who are new to the blog and also to set up additional tabs to create other pages for your interests and passions.

So I have had a go at creating an about page and a page specifically for The Blackden Trust, a place I would like to share with others.

What do you think?  Does it just seem like wallpaper or white noise?  Are you interested to read extra stuff?

  1. I think it's a nice feature. It helps new readers to catch up on who you are. I will have to create some tabs too.

  2. I like it, Elizabeth. It isn't obtrusive at all - very nicely done!

  3. Now I just have to learn to do it too!

  4. It's such a good idea. 'About' is much better than the silly headings offered on 'My Profile', and being able to post pictures in it makes it much more personal if that's what is wanted.

And it's not as obtrusive as all the things that clutter one's front page. I shall give it a go.

How interesting the Blackden Trust looks!

  5. I agree with Rachel. It's just sitting there quietly, waiting patiently to be looked at but not clamouring for attention.

  6. Seems like an excellant idea to me especailly like the way one does not need to comment just read and digest.I know one never HAS to comment but feel its a bit like entering a room having a good stare then walking out without saying anything thing to the occupant, very rude!

  7. Good idea and unobtrusive- I think Wordpress has done something similar for a long time.

  8. I like it, your Home page is lovely.

  9. I think it's a great idea for folks like you who have "stuff" to put on extra pages. And it's totally not intrusive, as I probably would have missed it if you hadn't told me it was there!

  10. Thanks for all your comments - I think I will leave it all up. I like it too. It is not too in your face!
