Day 27 of the 100 day project

Rain, grey, thin, drizzling rain.  I have been out all morning at my Welsh class and in half an hour I am out again.  I really do not want to get wet before I go.  I really do not want to break my run of time in the garden.

I rush out.  I deadhead a dozen or so daffodils by the crab apple tree and rush back in again, hair already frizzing, shoulders damp, hands dirty despite the gloves.

Does that count?

  1. Anybody who invents a treatment for Welsh Hair Frizz deserves a medal! Someone once told me that they loved coming to Wales because it was so green. Yes. We get a lot of rain!!!

    1. The very first summer we lived here many years ago the fields and hills opposite all turned brown for lack of rain. Definitely didn't look right!

  2. It certainly does in my book, especially in the rain. My weeds are growing by the barrow load at the moment. I’m trying not to see them. As a friend said weeds are just plants in the wrong place. Have a good weekend. B x

    1. Yes, ours are growing by the barrowload too. Today I am going to plant something instead of taking something out, just to balance up!

  3. I love your blog. I live in South Carolina USA. I have ancestors’ connections in Brecon Wales. Is that near you? I actually visited the Wales country side on my last visit to London. It is beautiful. You are doing a great job with your project. Please keep blogging.
    Thanks,
    Linda

    1. I am so glad you enjoy the blog Linda. The Brecon Beacons (another very beautiful area) are south of us by about seventy miles, so not far in distance but takes around two hours as the roads are small and slow. Lovely quiet part of the world!
