Reasons to be cheerful

If you are the same age as I am you might remember Ian Dury's song, "Reasons to be cheerful, part 2".  Well here are ten of mine, in no particular order:

  1. grandchildren
  2. tea
  3. wine
  4. eggs
  5. sunshine
  6. books
  7. knitting and crochet
  8. Ian
  9. swallows
  10. singing

  1. Pretty close to mine, however, eggs would be lower on my list and Ian is taken.

    1. Remember mine are not in any order! If they were Ian would be at the top!

  3. "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" is the only Ian Dury song I remember, but I love it still. In no particular order: my new apartment, time to do things I love, a solid job, a great boss, the beach within a short stroll, my son is done with Summer school (!), knitting, studying Japanese, textiles, seeing my Italian penpal and her family next week.

  4. I'll be mentally making the list and re-making it now, over the next day or so -- fun!

  5. No wine for me so I would have to add the sea. Otherwise spot on for me too! Including Ian, my hubby! I do seasonal top favourites too, I love a list! Jane x

  6. May I delete No 7, and replace it with all things Pork.

  7. I'd add "my beach" which is near me and shares its seasons with me as I knit quietly and watch both it and the frolicking dogs and kids.
